Wagering requirements: when bonus money becomes cash

Wagering (also called playthrough or rollover) is the amount you must bet before bonus funds become withdrawable. It is the most important number in any bonus and the main reason players see “withdrawal unavailable”. The operator sets the multipliers — at Fenikss they would be in the offer’s terms — and this page shows how to read and calculate them.

The formula

In its simplest form: wagering = base × multiplier. The base is either the bonus alone or the bonus plus your deposit. The difference matters: if the deposit is in the base, your own money is tied up too.

Example (hypothetical)BaseMultiplierBets required
Bonus only€50×30€1,500
Bonus + deposit€100×30€3,000
Free-spin winnings€20×35€700

The numbers in the table are invented to illustrate the arithmetic; they are not any operator’s terms.

Game contribution

Not every bet counts in full. Slots often count 100%, while table games and live casino count partly or not at all. If your game counts at half, the bets you need double. The exact list varies — check the terms. Some games are excluded entirely; bets on them do not reduce wagering.

The maximum bet rule

While a bonus is active, terms usually cap a single bet. Exceed it and the operator may void the bonus and winnings — even if it happened once. Games with a bonus-buy feature or a gamble option often have especially strict rules.

Withdrawing before wagering is complete

Several outcomes are possible, and the terms say which applies to you:

So check your bonus status before requesting a payout. If a withdrawal is already “Rejected” with a reference to the bonus, this is why. The full payout process is on Withdrawals.

Tracking progress

Many cashiers show remaining wagering in your profile. If yours does not, keep a note of your bets and ask support. Do not assume you must be done by now — the system counts only qualifying bets.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate wagering?
Multiply the base by the multiplier. The base is either the bonus or the bonus plus deposit — the terms say which, and it changes the total a lot.
Do all games count towards wagering?
No. Slots often count fully, table and live games partly or not at all. The terms list exact rates.
What happens if I break the maximum bet rule?
The operator may void the bonus and the winnings made with it. The cap usually applies while the bonus is active.
Can I withdraw before finishing wagering?
A payout may be unavailable, or the bonus may be voided. The offer’s terms say which applies.
