Registration and identity checks
Registering is not just opening an account. It is the moment you enter the details your document and bank account will later be compared against. If they differ, your first withdrawal will wait. This applies to Fenikss and any other casino; the exact form and requirements are the operator’s.
What a sign-up form usually asks
- First name and surname — exactly as in your document, accents included.
- Date of birth and, in some countries, a personal identification number.
- Address, email and phone number.
- A password, sometimes two-factor authentication.
This site is for readers aged 18 and over; check the minimum age in the specific casino’s terms.
Verification: what and why
The operator needs to confirm the account belongs to a real adult and that payouts reach that same person. If you play from Latvia, identity is proven with a Latvian ID card (eID) or a passport. A typical set:
- The document. A clear photo of both sides of the ID card or the passport data page; all corners visible, nothing covered.
- A selfie with the document, if the operator asks.
- Proof of payment method. A statement excerpt showing your name and IBAN, or a card photo with the middle digits hidden.
- Proof of address, if your document does not show it and the operator requires it.
Why details must match the document
Automated checks compare characters, not meaning. “Grinberga” and “Grīnberga” are one surname to a person and two to a system; the same goes for transliterated names. If the mistake is already in your account, do not change it yourself — ask support to correct it against your document. This mismatch is one of the most common reasons a withdrawal sits in “Processing”.
When to upload documents
The best moment is right after registering, before your first deposit. Verification then happens without pressure, and when you win there is nothing to wait for. If your document is close to expiry, upload the newest one — operators check validity.
Why verification gets rejected
- The photo is blurred, has glare or part of the document is cut off.
- The document has expired.
- Your name or date of birth differ from the document.
- The bank account or card belongs to someone else.
Protecting your documents
Upload documents only inside the operator’s own site or app, never by replying to an email or chat message that asks for them. After uploading, delete the photos from your phone gallery and cloud backup. A real operator will never ask for your internet-bank password as part of verification.
Before registering, check the operator against its regulator’s licence list and consider the limits described in Responsible gambling. If you plan to pay by bank link, read Pay by bank.
