Sports betting: from bet slip to balance
On many platforms the casino and sportsbook share one balance. That makes betting a cashier topic too: when money is reserved, when it comes back and when it becomes withdrawable. This page covers the basics and links to deeper guides. We do not quote odds or markets — they vary between operators, Fenikss included, and change by the minute.
The life of a bet
Bet slip
You pick an event and outcome; the slip shows the odds and potential return.
Placement
The stake is reserved — no longer available, but not yet lost.
Settlement
After the event the bet is settled: win credited, loss removed or bet voided.
Withdrawal
Real-money winnings become withdrawable like any other balance.
Odds and potential return
Decimal odds show how many times your stake comes back including profit. Hypothetical example: a €10 stake at 2.00 returns €20, of which €10 is your stake and €10 profit. Odds also include the bookmaker’s margin, so they are not pure probabilities.
Void bets and refunds
If an event is cancelled or postponed, the bet may be voided and the stake returned to your balance. Rules on how long a postponed event stays valid differ between operators. In an accumulator a void leg is usually removed and the combined odds recalculated.
Cash-out is not a withdrawal
Many platforms let you “cash out” a bet before the event ends. That settles the bet at its current value and credits the amount to your playing balance. It is not a transfer to your bank — the money simply returns to your balance, from where you can request a payout in the cashier. See Withdrawals.

Bonuses and sports betting
Sports bonuses often require minimum odds for a bet to count towards wagering, and conditions on accumulators. If a bonus covers both casino and sports, conditions may differ by section. See Wagering; budget tools on Responsible gambling.
